Our brief
Zero Point 8 were appointed by Luton Culture as the main contractor to transform the existing cafe at Stockwood Discovery Centre into a contemporary and ethical food venue, with a stylish redesign.
What we did
We provided a turn-key service and designed, manufactured and installed bespoke joinery, furniture, and equipment. This included a tiled front counter, high ceiling planters, booth seating and quieter seating areas.
We worked very closely with the stakeholders to ensure full DDA access could be achieved and colour was used to assist the visually impaired customers to offer a welcoming environment for all families and educational organisations.
We used recycled materials and finishes to assist the carbon footprint.
The result
We transformed the Café space into a destination eatery for visitors to Stockwood Discovery Centre. The project was completed within budget and time constraints – the overall quality and efficiency of the project led to an ongoing working relationship with the client to complete further projects.
