Our brief
Our brief was to create an innovative, space efficient, multi-purpose building where learning could take place without the traditional boundaries between formal and informal learning spaces. We had to design, manufacture, and install joinery throughout The Performance Hub.
What we did
We design engineered from the architect’s drawings, creating bespoke joinery and graphics. This included their main reception counter in the Harrison Centre, along with breakout and kitchen areas.
To achieve full Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliance we had to ensure the design catered for disabled students making the full facilities accessible.
The materials used were specified for the purpose of longevity and cleanability.
The result
Delivered on time and ready for the new academic year the new Performance Hub is an exciting development which enabled the University of Wolverhampton to integrate their music, dance and drama schools into one location, with all performance students now based on the Walsall Campus.
